In IT onboarding, user provisioning means getting new employees up and running with the right accounts, software, and permissions from their first day on the job. It makes sure they’re ready to work without needless delays. Otherwise, you’re pretty much handing them a desk and a phone book and saying, “Have fun figuring it out!”
