SaaS (Software as a Service)
What does SaaS stand for, and what does it mean?
SaaS is a cloud-based software delivery model where applications are hosted by a provider instead of on your own machines. They’re accessed over the internet, which means there’s no need to install anything on in-house services.
It’s also one of the three main tiers of cloud computing, alongside platform as a service (PaaS), which lets you build and launch your own apps without worrying about managing the underlying hardware, and infrastructure as a service (IaaS), which provides the virtual machines and storage you need to customize from the ground up.
